Sunrise Learning Academy is a student-centered learning community dedicated to providing high-quality, personalized education in a supportive and inclusive environment. We recognize that every child is unique and deserves individualized attention to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Through small class sizes and tailored learning plans, we meet each student where they are and help them reach their fullest potential.
Our program is built on a trauma-informed foundation and welcomes learners from all backgrounds, including students with IEPs, ADHD, and other specialized needs. We offer a holistic educational experience that integrates academic excellence with social-emotional learning, mindfulness, and life skills.
Therapeutic push-in services are available during the school day without interrupting core instruction. Students also benefit from enriching opportunities such as music, art, physical education, and STEAM coding camps—ensuring they grow into confident, capable, and well-rounded individuals.

Pre-K to 12th Grade: Overview of Academic Levels Served
Sunrise Learning Academy offers a personalized, inclusive education for students from Pre-K through 12th grade. Each level is designed to support the unique developmental, academic, and social-emotional needs of learners.
Here's how we structure our academic program:
Preschool (Pre-Kindergarten)
- Focuses on early childhood development through play-based learning
- Builds foundational skills in literacy, numeracy, social-emotional development, and fine/gross motor skills
- Activities promote creativity, curiosity, and a love for learning
Primary Grades (Kindergarten – 2nd Grade)
- Introduces students to a more structured learning environment
- Builds on early literacy and numeracy foundations using a hands-on, student-centered approach
- Supports learners with individualized attention, including accommodations for students with IEPs or developmental needs
Elementary Grades (3rd – 5th Grade)
- Strengthens skills in reading, writing, mathematics, science, and social studies
- Encourages independent thinking, collaboration, and self-regulation
- Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) help identify areas for enrichment or intervention
- Trauma-informed strategies and academic supports are available for students with learning differences, including ADHD and IEPs
Middle School (6th – 8th Grade)
- Prepares students for high school with increased academic rigor, study skills, and self-advocacy
- Expands on core subjects while introducing electives like art, music, physical education, and STEAM
- Emphasizes life skills, goal setting, critical thinking, and real-world applications
- Students receive mentoring, social-emotional coaching, and academic counseling when needed.
High School (9th-12th Grade)
- Customized Learning for Every Student: We develop Personalized Learning Plans (PLPs) that meet students where they are—academically, socially, and emotionally. Our trauma-informed model ensures students feel seen, supported, and challenged as they pursue their goals at their own pace.

With a 1:1 student-to-technology ratio and a dynamic virtual classroom, students engage in interactive, multimedia-rich lessons that promote collaboration, critical thinking, and digital fluency—preparing them for the demands of modern life and work. -

Our intentionally small class sizes allow for meaningful relationships with educators, personalized feedback, and an inclusive environment where all voices are heard and valued. Students build confidence and take ownership of their learning journey. -
College, Career, and Life Readiness:
High school students gain real-world skills through career exploration, leadership development, dual-credit and certification options, and life skills training. Whether heading to college, trade programs, entrepreneurship, or direct-to-work pathways, students graduate prepared for what's next.

Sunrise Learning Academy uses a blend of research-based and standards-aligned educational materials to ensure students receive a well-rounded and rigorous academic experience. Our curriculum integrates:
- Mathematics: Emphasizes problem-solving, number sense, real-world application, and foundational concepts in operations, measurement, and geometry
- Language Arts: Focuses on phonics, reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and writing development across genres
- Science: Hands-on investigations that explore life, physical, and earth sciences through inquiry and experimentation

🧩 Therapeutic Services & Accommodations
For students with specific learning needs, our staff collaborates with service providers to offer therapeutic push-in supports and educational accommodations without interrupting instructional time. This includes support for executive functioning, speech and language, occupational therapy, and more.
🏠 Virtual Learning Option (Google Classroom)
Families may opt for our Virtual Google Classroom model, which offers a flexible and accessible learning experience from home. This option provides:
- Access to the same academic content and standards as our in-person program
- Daily check-ins and teacher feedback
- Opportunities for project-based learning, interactive lessons, and assessments via Google Workspace tools
